Probz undercover

Lately, I've been growing increasingly tired of my current hair style. Sure, it still looks good but it's becoming tempting to make changes. I signed and committed to an all state show earlier this year so I can't really change my hair from how it was when I was casted. I can let it grow and keep it the same shade. But this is all. I've never been the kind to keep my hair the same for more than a year. Rather it's changing the style, shape, color, or length. Just to make things better my eldest sister suggested I go bottle blonde....
Her saying this isn't like forcing me to re-dye my hair or anything but I've wanted to before. And if you consider my skin tone, olive-and olives can get away with soo much, it wouldn't look bad. It was a really good suggestion that i'd thought of before and i'd been wanting a change. However looking at the show schedule i'll be keeping my hair red until next summer. My bangs are driving me nuts as well.
I've thought about some minor changes though. For instance doing the ombre thing that's very popular right now. Once growing my hair out some more I could fade it into an orange-blonde.
Of course i'll have to okay it with y director, but either way doing the ombre even after the show is over will help me fade the red slowly into blonde until I'm ready for the full effect.
Just some thoughts, Layla

Lookie

The other day I went shopping with a friend...
Bought a crop turtle neck shirt, its red and white striped with a slit in the back.
Found a great High-Low dress for some of my senior pictures.
Found this stevie nicks/Victorian looking dress. I've been brain storming on what to wear underneath it. (yes, you can see my undergarments in these pictures) Maybe a leotard, tights with a black crop top, or just a slip.
This is something I purchased about two weeks ago, its a black pants suit and I'm in love with it! It's fantastic.

Perfect Zero

I feel so bad for these people who think that their "prestigious opinion" is going to influence humanity.
I hope they rate me as the lowest of the low so they can have the satisfaction of changing nothing about the way i veiw myself, feel about myself or any influence on the way i dress or what i talk about.
Jeez, is this 2013 or isn't it? people at my school act as if they are bigger than passing out notes and they are some how adults because they decide to degrade people on Instagram with "Hot or not lists."

False Identities

When I was about 13 or 14 a couple of friends of my older sister told me I looked a lot like Alice Glass from the band Crystal Castles. When they did this they posted a link to a music video of their on my facebook wall. Once I listened to them and saw her I was in love with their music and I agreed without a shadow of a doubt that I looked a lot like her. It's kind of un common that you find a celeb that you really think you look like. Truly look like. Once you find one, you kind of stick with it you know?
Alice Glass.....

Meee.......

Then you have the people that tell you otherwise and you look at them with disbelief. A week or two ago my friend lucas had just watched a video of theirs, recommended by me, and told me the following week that I didn't look anything like her. I was heart broken in a way and kind of lost. But I guess the truth is that you shouldn't base your identity on what you look like, who you look like and so on. And not everyone will have the same opinion about things like that. I still believe I look like Alice Glass, but I know I shouldn't assume everyone feels the same way.

Nairt.

NAIRT, is nail-art all in one short little word(this isn't real). This post wasn't intended to be about nail art however I think it's going to be now. I hate how I think of magnificent things to write about at night when I'm falling asleep and I tell myself, "You'll remember," and I don't. Big surprise there! I'll start by showing some of my newest items in the nail department.
This is Tenacious Teal, It's a mermaid-esq color that is similar to the color of that putty from home depot you use to plug up cracks. It's by: Maybelline, Color show. 330.
This is Orange Fix, which in the bottle looks like a choral red but when you put it on it lingers more towards a choral orange. It's by: Maybelline, Color show. 220.
And even though the color on my actual nails isn't new I haven't used the color a lot, it's My button fell off, By: Spoiled.
It's like a really light, slow churned ice cream pink.
This was kind of a better picture but you still don't have the full "effect." I'm not a huge fan of doing actual nail-art but I enjoy looking at the art of it and it's very interesting. I just like simple nails for an every day type of thing. Here are some selections of nail art I like for special occasions, photo shoots or runway.
These are an obvious choice, galaxy nail-art. They're stick-on, you can get them in Essie but probably a few other brands too. Order online is my best advice, these are hard to find in regular stores except for specialized places for just makeup.
These nail rings are very Charlize Theron from Snowwhite and the huntsmen. I've always liked really hard or rough looking pieces of jewelry. These aren't strictly nail art but I like the idea of this decoration for a special occasion. Now these nails aren't all that I like but its a brief summary of how extensive I like to get about my nails.
Enjoy!
Love, Layla

STATEMENT.

Last weekend I went to my junior prom.
I went for a 1920's look with tighter finger waves, a vintage dress($10), T-strap heels and clunky jewelry.
Cody went all cash, as in Johnny. except instead of the classic tie that Johnny wore, Cody went with a bow tie with a more 20's vibe.
A closer look at the dress and finger waves.
HE NEVER STOPS CLOSING HIS EYES! it's how he hides his giddy-ness!
toodle loo!

Literary.

We won first place in region Literary! I placed second in dramatic interpretation, Justin miller placed first for boys solo, the boys quartet placed first, girls trio placed first, larkera placed first for girls solo, henry guo placed third for extemporaneous speaking, Bethany severance placed fourth for extemp. speaking and Harley placed in third. Over all the majority was a success and we placed more than anyone else!
whooooohhhht! My second year in literary but my first actually competing. Can't wait for next year. My very old director is coming back which i have mixed feelings about. While he doesn't work well with others, and is slightly biased, he's still a good director and teacher. Hopefully he could train and prepare me better for next year.

BIG SPRING.

Through out the past three months I've collected some ideas of what spring will be all about this year! I'm blogging this from my phone so excuse the un-neatness. CIGARETTE JEANS/pants are my thing this early spring while its still chilly! I got these off of eBay, their burnt red almost oxe blood.

This was New Years eve! yes, i know it's a little late but it's still January!
:Black slouchy pants from plato's closet, black bralette and navy lace rodarte, tie up turtle neck. And manic panic lip color-blue.
I spent the night with cody going from his brothers house to a local un-happening bar then back to home to kiss the sweet new year away!

New Years day.

This was New Years day.
I spent it walking my dog and running way too many errands with my friend Heather.
Outfit: black and wite color block sweater f-21, turqouise tennis skirt, black tights and socks and thrifty white chuck taylors.
Adios!
